Introduction to Zotero in english In-Person

Are you about to work on your paper, and need help organizing your references? A reference tool might be the answer you are looking for.

Zotero is a free software that allows you to import and manage references to books, articles, websites and much more, and insert them into your paper as in-text references and final bibliography. Zotero helps you keep your references organized as you go along, and allows you to share your references with a group, as well as keeping an online backup of your references.

This introduction will introduce you to the basic functions of Zotero, and we will run through examples such as:

- The basics of the software

- Importing references from online sources and physical books

- Inserting citations and in-text references

- Generating a final bibliography

- Editing references and creating your own

- Sharing references with a group

The introduction will be using Google Chrome and Microsoft Word, but you can use Firefox/Edge, and OpenOffice if you prefer. The introduction will not be explaining installation and setup, and will be based on you already having installed the program and the 'connector' to your preferred browser and text editor. Please contact Erik  (es@kb.dk) well ahead of the course if you have problems with the installation.

Note: This course will take place in English.
