Join our Data Carpentry workshop from September 8th - 9th
YOU ONLY NEED TO REGISTER ONCE. THIS IS A TWO DAY EVENT AND THE REGISTRATION FORM SIGNS YOU UP FOR BOTH THE 8TH AND THE 9TH OF SEPTEMBER.
Data Carpentry gives you the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. This workshop is aimed at students and researchers within the humanities with little to no prior computanional experience. Do you work with large sets of text data and want to learn the basics of digital text analysis/ text-mining in Python?

Programme:
Day 1 (preparing and cleaning data)
- Tidy data in sheets
- Open Refine (to clean and structure data)
- Introduction to Python
Day 2 (Analysis)
- Python and pandas
- Late afternoon: Inspiration to how one can work with the data, fx picture analysis using data from the royal library's collection, creating maps, visualisation and much more.
Time and place
The workshop will be over two days, the 8th and the 9th of September. Both days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

NB: Since we will order refreshments for both workshops, we kindly ask the participants to register before 4th September. If you want to register after the 4th September, please write to lowi@kb.dk.
