Kurset gennemgår nogle af Python-biblioteket Pandas’ mange muligheder. Pandas er et bibliotek i Python, som man benytter til at arbejde med data, der er struktureret i rækker og kolonner. Man vil ofte vælge at strukturere sine data i rækker og kolonner, hvis man har samlet meget data, og der findes også mange datasæt, som allerede er struktureret således. Med lidt kendskab til Pandas er man godt hjulpet på vej til at kunne give sig i kast med dataanalyse af større datasæt. På kurset gennemgår vi, hvordan man bygger en dataframe, samt hvordan man filtrerer, sammentæller og visualiserer sine data. Hvis man vil deltage på kurset, er det også en god idé at have deltaget på kurset Digital humaniora og programmering 1 og 2.

Kurset bliver på engelsk, hvis der er engelsk-talene deltagere.

The course goes through some of the many possibilities of the Python library Pandas. Pandas is a library in Python that is used to work with data that is structured in rows and columns. You will often choose to structure your data in rows and columns if you have collected a lot of data, and there are also many data sets that are already structured this way. With a little knowledge of Pandas, you are well helped on your way to being able to get started with data analysis of larger datasets. In the course, we review how to build a data frame, as well as how to filter, tally and visualize your data. If you want to participate in the course, it is also a good idea to have participated in the course Digital humanities and programming 1 and 2.

The course will be in English if there are English-speaking participants.
