NVivo for master students of Anthropology (English)

NVivo for master students of Anthropology (English) In-Person

This course is meant as a refersher for anthropology students starting their thesis writing process.

NVivo can be useful, if you want to organise and/or code your empirical material. It can also be helpful when you want to transcribe audio-files, generate hypotheses etc.

In this session we will have a look at how to work with Nvivo focusing on transcription and coding, so you can get a good start on working with your qualitative data.

The PC version of NVivo has more functionality than the Mac version, but you can participate in all exercises with either.

Prior to the course, you must install the version of NVivo called NVivo 14.

This can be done here for Windows:
https://download.qsrinternational.com/Software/NVivo14/NVivo.x64.exe

And here for Mac:
https://download.qsrinternational.com/Software/NVivo14forMac/NVivo.dmg

Please note: NVivo can be found int the Software Library under the link "QSR International - NVivo".

If you wish to get a head start you can complete a set of introductory exercises which can be found HERE.
