Digital resources abound, but some are trickier to find and use than others, none more so than open data, which can be reused for new research projects. In this course, we will put together some broad strategies for searching for open and accessible data, which can help to build up your research projects. We will also cover issues in information literacy, bias, and trust when searching for data. The session will end with a workshop, where attendees can either search for data that can butress an ongoing project, or they can search for supporting data to a couple of potential research questions to train the newly acquired strategies. Information specialists will be on hand to guide and advise your searches.
