NVivo for Absolute Beginners - in English

NVivo for Absolute Beginners - in English In-Person

Introduction to NVivo; a program which is a great help when you are working with qualitative data analysis.

NVivo can be useful, if you want to organise and/or code your empirical material or literature. It can also be helpful when you want to transcribe audio- or video files, generate hypotheses etc.

The PC version of NVivo has more functionality than the Mac version, but you can participate in all exercises with either and we will demonstrate in both.

Prior to the course, you need to prepare two things.

1. Download the files we will be using during the course and save them on your computer where you can easily find them. you'll find them HERE.

2. You must install either NVivo 14 or NVivo 15. Installation can be tricky. Read the instructions below carefully and give yourself good time to install the programme. If you have trouble installing NVivo please drop by the library at the North Campus, Wednesdays between 12:30 and 14:30. Do not expect us to have time to help with installation during the course.

When you are in the Software Library, click on "QSR International - NVivo", accept the conditions. Click on the "License key" (licens nøgle) to get the key and click on the Installation Guide (Vejledning) to download a PDF containing installation instructions.
