DESCRIPTION:About the winter school\n\nAs a new initiative\, KUB Datalab 
 has organised a so-called winter school. The aim is to give participants 
 the opportunity to engage intensively with R for an entire week. You will 
 therefore be able to tailor a programme that suits your specific needs and 
 level of experience. Please note that you must register for each course 
 individually.\n\nIn short\, it is up to you whether you wish to register 
 for one or more courses.\n\nThe Winter School is organised in collaboration 
 between Copenhagen University Library and Roskilde University 
 Library.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nAbout 
 R\n\nR is a general programming language\, especially suited for 
 statistical analysis and cleaning and visualization of data.\n\nWe assume 
 absolutely no previous experience with programming\, and will cover the 
 basics of getting started with R\, including:\n\n\n	Navigating in 
 Positron\, and how to interact with R\n	Datatypes\, variables and 
 objects\n	Simple arithmetic and logical operations on data\n	Working with 
 functions - and how to write a very simple function ourself\n	Import data 
 into R\n	Summary statistics \n	Manipulating data frames\n	And how to make a 
 couple of the common graphs\, that are as useful as they are 
 elementary.\n\n\nIn preparation for the course\, we recommend that you 
 either download and install R and Positron\, or register for an account at 
 rstudio.cloud. Instructions on this can be found here\, where you will also 
 find the course notes\, additional material and exercises.\n\n
