Learn how to analyse text with R In-Person

About the winter school

As a new initiative, KUB Datalab has organised a so-called winter school. The aim is to give participants the opportunity to engage intensively with R for an entire week. You will therefore be able to tailor a programme that suits your specific needs and level of experience. Please note that you must register for each course individually.

In short, it is up to you whether you wish to register for one or more courses.

The winter school is organised in collaboration between the Copenhagen University Library and the Roskilde University Library.

About the course

Would you like to analyse text collections so large that you cannot read them all yourself? Then this course might be for you. The course provides an introduction to the concept of text mining. We will primarily work with news articles, but the skills you acquire can be applied to many other types of text.

To participate in the course, you are expected to have some experience with programming in R and be familiar with the tidyverse. This corresponds to what is taught in our basic R courses.

Please ensure that you have installed R and RStudio before the course so that we can make the most of our time. You can find help with installing R and RStudio here.

The course will primarily be conducted in Danish, but if one or more participants prefer, it will be held in English.Instructors: Ene Rammer Nielsen (enrn@kb.dk) og Søren Davidsen
