DESCRIPTION:About the winter school\n\nAs a new initiative\, KUB Datalab 
 has organised a so-called winter school. The aim is to give participants 
 the opportunity to engage intensively with R for an entire week. You will 
 therefore be able to tailor a programme that suits your specific needs and 
 level of experience. Please note that you must register for each course 
 individually.\n\nIn short\, it is up to you whether you wish to register 
 for one or more courses.\n\nThe winter school is organised in collaboration 
 between Copenhagen University Library and Roskilde University 
 Library.\n\nAbout the course\n\nAPIs provide access to a multitude of 
 information.\n\nIn this course we cover how to extract data though APIs 
 using the Statistics Denmark and i can haz dad joke APIs as 
 examples.\n\nThe course material can be found on this website. Please make 
 sure that you have followed the under "Setup" to install R and Positron as 
 well as some additional packages.\n\nThe course requires some previous 
 knowledge of R. We will assume that you are familiar with:\n\n\n	Navigating 
 in Positron\, and how to interact with R\n	Datatypes\, variables and 
 objects\n	Simple arithmetic and logical operations on data\n	Working with 
 functions - and how to write a very simple function ourself\n	Import data 
 into R\n	Summary statistics \n	Manipulating data frames\n\n\nThese topics 
 are covered in our introductory courses in R.
