description \n\nAcademic publishing is an essential part in any
researcher’s work and a cornerstone for the development of an academic
career. Writing the manuscript is already challenging and on top of which\,
the publishing process is complex and full of pitfalls. This
cross-disciplinary course will address the opportunities and challenges
that you as a PhD student might face in disseminating your research\,
including journal articles (or monographs) and datasets. The aim of the
course is to provide you with knowledge\, skills\, and tools for publishing
your research in an open and responsible way\, and in accordance with
requirements from your university\, your funder\, and your research
community. Through discussions with the course instructors and your fellow
participants\, you will gain insight into traditions and practices across
disciplines and look at academic publishing from different
perspectives.\n\n \n\nCourse content \n\nThe course will cover the
 following topics: \n\n\n	\n	Copyright in publishing \n	\n\n\n\n	\n	Open
Access publishing \n	\n\n\n\n	\n	Creative Commons licenses

 \n	\n\n\n\n	\n	Scholarly profiles and research activities \n	\n\n\nPlease
note that this course will not address writing the manuscript or navigating
the submission process. \n\nYou will have the opportunity to engage with
experts from the university library and put forward all questions and
concerns you have about publishing your research. Active participation and
exchanging ideas with your classmates are encouraged. \n\n \n\nLearning
